Electric vehicles could also help India in reducing oil dependency and also solve energy scarcity and go forward with clean and renewable energy.
Electric vehicles although are expensive but can be seen in the future of India, as the world’s most valuable electric vehicle tesla will be launched in India soon. The launch has been expecting a bash in the EV industry also due to this launch many people adopted the electric vehicle. Also in the other hand government has put forward a motive to voluntarily scrap out the vehicle that’s older than 20 years.


The government had also launched the DeenDayal scheme which was to finance and obtainment of battery rickshaws in the country. 
EV will we better efficiency, lower charging time, good power output, and extensive lifetime.
Electric vehicle does not require to change the engine oil which will be very beneficial for a sustainable lifestyle and growth of India. 
It is expected that by the year 2030 India will require 1 crore electric vehicles which in regards will need to develop charging and servicing stations. Electric vehicle requires to be working on a electric motor so there will be no need to grease engine. But with every change there are few drawbacks as well some of the drawbacks of electric vehicles in India will be that they cannot go along for a longer distance as the span it can cover is 400 to 450 km at one go and then it again requires to recharge it.
In India charging stations are not available at every pit spot so if we looking forward to bring electric vehicles more in India we require to enhance this facility all over our cities otherwise, for now, we can charge an electric vehicle at mostly home.


Electric vehicles are not completely produced by power-plant due to which coal is burnt.
The other way round is the cleaner way that is hydroelectricity, wind turbines, biomass, etc.
There is a lack of EVs in India due to major reasons such as technology as well as due to the lack of skilled workers who have a piece of technical knowledge for using the electric vehicles they lack the dedication to be trained for such skill development.
Lack of material could also be one of the reasons as the battery is the single most important component in developing an electric vehicle and the raw material for that such as reserve of lithium and cobalt which are major two things required for battery production.
However the major barriers and real challenges to go complete electric on the vehicle, despite lack of many requirements India will take a few years to evolve in the market. However the government is trying its best by launching campaigns and protocols but because the automobile industry believes that industry will follow the baby steps that are being taken by global big markets like China, the US and Japan.
However, Indians are famously value-conscious and after a few years the electric vehicle can become a game-changer for us and the future generations will be benefited too from this technology and India will be able to progress.
