The basic issue is concerned with the inclusion of social anxiety however moral panic along with the awareness of industrial risks are concerned with safety.
The information from the experts had not been circulated enough to reach society at the right time and this was an important factor that caused panic.
The spread of misinformation and lack of information which were then exaggerated by the media using popular headlines have added to reinforced and increased health-related fears and phobias in the minds of the people.
Since Public panic is an existential state it is burdensome to manage it.
Panic attacks include the following criteria: unexpected recurring panic attacks, subsequent attacks happening persistently, too much stressing about the effects of the attack like losing control, going crazy, having a heart attack, and a significant change in behavior caused by the panic attacks
Due to this panic created, it resulted in egoism which then led to panic buying, xenophobia, and is convinced by every news item seen on social media. In an unintegrated society with disparities, a crisis is created.
All over the world, there has been panic buying and it was very evident from the behavior of the people due to the panic regarding the shortage of supplies since the lockdown was announced.
The supplies and resources were stacked by the people but they were willing to share it within the family but were reluctant to share it with others due to the fear, panic, and the need to secure their own individual development first.
Alcohol, toilet paper, other supplies, and basic necessities were observed being hoarded by people. This resulted in other people being exposed to scarcity of supplies and now clearly in danger. This shows that all reasonable wants are totally egoistic in nature. In times of huge distress, people were observed tending to exploit resources for their own selfish reasons.
This caused the major opportunistic business organizations to increase prices on basic necessities as there was a high demand for it right from the start of COVID-19.
